COMNET Submits LEED Comments to USGBC

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) is engaged in a public comment process to develop the Next Version of LEED.  The Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) submitted comments addressing building energy modeling for commercial and multi-family buildings for the Next Version of LEED during the period for public comment. IMT's comment for commercial buildings suggested that the use of COMNET methodology or future COMNET compliant software be required for LEED's commercial project submissions: LEED NC, CS, Schools, Retail, Warehouse & Distribution Centers and Hospitality. In a similar comment for multi-family buildings COMNET was recommended as an alternative to the Energy Star Multi-Family High Rise Simulation Guideline for mid-rise LEED-Homes.
