COMNET Submits LEED Comments to USGBC

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) is engaged in a public comment process to develop the next version of LEED.  During the second round the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) submitted a comment addressing building energy modeling for commercial LEED 2012. IMT's comment for commercial buildings suggested that in conjunction with ASHRAE 90.1-2010 Appendix G the use of COMNET methodology or future COMNET compliant software be required for LEED's commercial project submissions: LEED NC, CS, Schools, Retail, Warehouse & Distribution Centers and Hospitality.
